AI in the Amazon FBA business: work faster, sell better

Everyone is talking about artificial intelligence, but very few retailers are currently using its benefits specifically for Amazon FBA. In this series of articles, I will show you how you can use AI in your everyday life as a seller and systematically incorporate it into your growth. Today, there's an overview of the most powerful use cases that will immediately save you time and noticeably simplify your day-to-day work.

Many of the solutions shown here also work for beginners, regardless of whether you only run one store or already manage several brands. Over the next few months, we will delve deeper into individual areas and expand our knowledge together step by step.

Overview: The most important AI use cases for Amazon sellers

Here you will find the most important use cases in which AI immediately takes over valuable work. Some of them can still be implemented 1:1 today.

1st Amazon listing creation with ChatGPT and keyword research

The aim: to create listings faster and better without having to spend hours writing texts by hand.

With ChatGPT (or Gemini, for example), you can generate a finished product listing from your keyword list in just a few minutes. You can prepare the keyword list with Helium 10, for example. In the prompt, you enter the most important keywords together with the task, for example: "Create an Amazon listing for this product".

What is important?
The bullet points and the product description end up almost perfectly in the listing. You should then manually optimize the product title to align it with the most relevant search queries.

Result: The AI does up to 90% of the listing for you. Fine-tuning is still mandatory.

2. competitor analysis with ChatGPT

The goal: to analyze competitors with little effort and identify weak points.

Download your competitors' listings (this is easy with Helium 10, for example) and load them into ChatGPT 4 or the latest version. With the right prompt, you will immediately recognize what works well in the third-party listings and where improvements are possible.

ChatGPT helps to compare explanatory texts, ratings or structures and to derive targeted recommendations for action for your own products.

3. automatically evaluate and cluster reviews

The goal: to automatically analyze thousands of ratings in a short time.

In the past you had to read review by review, today you simply export all reviews as CSV (via Helium 10, for example) and send the file together with an analysis prompt to ChatGPT. The AI summarizes all points of criticism and praise neatly clustered together. You can immediately pass the result on to the manufacturer for the next development.

Addition: From this clustering, ChatGPT also provides you with suggestions on how to derive new product features or further developments. This not only results in better offers, but also genuine product innovations that are geared towards real user needs.

4. automated customer support with Custom GPT

The aim: to process standard customer service queries much faster.

Especially if you receive a lot of requests, you will save a lot of time here every day. To do this, set up your own custom GPT (e.g. via the OpenAI Playground or other tools). Each standard question is simply entered and answered directly. This is particularly helpful for queries about delivery statuses, product details or returns.

For advanced applications, these processes can be further automated, which I will discuss in more detail in future articles.

5. AI-supported keyword list and PPC campaign structure

The aim: to automatically cluster keyword lists and prepare them for advertising campaigns.

Anyone who has ever sorted hundreds of keywords for Amazon PPC knows how annoying and time-consuming this can be. With a prompt in ChatGPT, you can automatically group and filter large Excel tables with keywords and organize them into a suitable structure for your advertising.

Instead of sorting by hand, this often saves you half an hour to a whole hour per campaign. You can continue to tailor the GPT process to your projects through training.

6. develop SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) with ChatGPT

The aim is to document internal processes more quickly and pass them on to employees.

The topic of SOPs, i.e. the documentation of recurring work processes, is becoming increasingly important for growing sellers. ChatGPT can create complete SOPs based on just a few key points or voice messages. The finished processes can be exported directly, for example as a PDF for onboarding or training. The AI can also include error sources as a list.

This not only saves time when creating, but also reduces errors in everyday life and ensures uniform processes within the team.

7. automate briefings for influencers and UGCs

The aim: fast and precise briefings for external partners such as influencers and advertising service providers.

AI-based text generators can be used to create ready-made briefings for influencer campaigns or UGC pilots based on a product and some general information. This process is becoming increasingly important, especially with multiple products and different platforms.

This saves you time, avoids misunderstandings and keeps the quality of your partnerships high thanks to clear work instructions. In the future, user-generated content (UGC) may be created completely automatically by AI.
